SHELTON, CT – The consumer and business media audit organization BPA has released a report showing strong growth in the worldwide flexible circuit market.

According to the report, in the five years from 2002 to 2007, the worldwide market for flex and flex-rigid printed circuits doubled from just under $4 billion to slightly over $8 billion.

Mobile phones and displays account for a significant portion the market, with Asia (excluding Japan) accounting for two-thirds of the world’s flexible circuit production.

According to the report, manufacturers in China are the world’s largest producers of flexible circuits, accounting for 40% of total production volume.
