ARAYA, THAILAND – Doosan is investing approximately $135 million to establish a new production base for copper clad laminates (CCL), a key material used in printed circuit boards, as global AI infrastructure demand accelerates.
The facility will be built on a 73,000sqm site within Araya – The Eastern Gateway, an industrial-tech ecosystem designed to support advanced manufacturing. The investment aims to address rising demand for PCB materials driven by AI data centers and broader electronics growth.
Doosan said the new site will strengthen its production capacity for CCL, which serves as a foundational material in PCB manufacturing across high-performance computing and semiconductor applications. Construction is expected to begin this year, with mass production targeted for the second half of 2028.
The location was selected for its proximity to major logistics hubs, including Suvarnabhumi International Airport and Laem Chabang Port, as well as its infrastructure supporting high-reliability manufacturing environments.
