EGHAM, UK – Due to the impact of the coronavirus on semiconductor supply and demand, worldwide semiconductor revenue is forecast to decline 0.9% in 2020, according to Gartner. This is down from the previous quarter’s forecast of 12.5% growth.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ – IC Insights’ global IC market forecast has turned negative, with the research firm now predicting a loss of 4% for the year. Prior to the industrywide coronavirus-driven shutdowns, the firm previously guided for 3% growth.
