TAOYUAN CITY, TAIWAN – Taiwanese printed circuit board makers generated NT$136.9 billion (US$4.7 billion) in output from operations in Taiwan and China in the first quarter, up 0.5% year-over-year, the Taiwan Printed Circuit Association said.

The association attributes the increase to companies focusing on mid- and high-end PCB products, despite the industry facing uncertainty due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Second quarter output is forecast to reach NT$155.2 billion.
