KUENZELL, GERMANY -- Tianjin Decoter Co. (DCT) has taken over the CircuitCAM software tool, while the development organization remains with its founder, LKSoftWare GmbH.

The software was originally developed by LPKF Laser & Electronics to drive its milling, drilling and laser machines. It was a replacement for ColorCAM, an older PCB CAD system designed for 16-bit computers in the pre-Windows area.

Through 2011, the software was exclusively sold by LPKF, with more than 10,000 paid licenses, according to the company.

LKSoftWare also has a development center in Lithuania.

DCT makes drilling, lamination and wet processing equipment for PCB fabrication.
