TAIWAN – According to industry reports,
Nan Ya Printed Circuit Board
(NPC) has the highest profitability among PCB makers in Taiwan.
NPC saw its sales grow by 6.2% on year to $1.28 billion in 2007, but
with net profits declining by 16.6% to $282.7 million for the year .
The sharp fall of wirebond substrates and traditional PCB sales caused
NPC to revise its first-quarter sales guidance down from a 10-15%
sequential drop to 15-20%. Reduction in orders and lower average
selling price prompted the company to guide a single-digit decline of
gross margin in the first-quarter.
