AURORA, CO – Advanced Circuits reported sales for the three months ended Sept. 30 of $21.9 million, down 6.5% year-over-year. The decrease in net sales was due primarily to a facility move in its Arizona location that halted operations for a portion of September.

Income from operations was approximately $6.1 million, down $800,000.

Net sales of quickturn low-volume PCBs decreased by approximately $1 million; quickturn production shipments fell $1.2 million, and long-lead time PCBs fell $300,000 versus 2018, offset in part by increases in assembly and lower sales and marketing costs. Quickturn low-volume shipments made up 17% of gross sales, and quickturn production shipments represented approximately 30.7% of gross sales for the quarter.

Gross profit as a percentage of net sales decreased 170 basis points to 45.5%, primarily the result of sales mix. Selling, general and administrative (SGA) expense was approximately $3.6 million, down from $3.7 million a year ago.
