YOKOHAMA, JAPAN – Zuken reported fiscal 2019 PCB design software sales were $38.8 million, up 11.9% year-over-year.

Total net sales for the fiscal year were $246.4 million, up 13.6% year-over-year.

For the 12-month period ended Mar. 31, total operating profit was $28.1. million, an increase of 50.6% compared to fiscal 2018.

During the fiscal year, economies in Japan, Europe and the US recovered slowly, says the firm. However, there were increasing signs of slowing economic growth late in the year caused by concerns about US economic policies.

In the electronic equipment, automotive and industrial equipment manufacturing sectors, there were clear signs of an aggressive approach to capital investments backed by recovering corporate earnings, according to Zuken.

For fiscal 2020, Zuken expects net sales of $255.8 million and operating profit of $26.7 million.
