CR-8000 2018 software enables front-loading of design constraints and specifications to design creation process, as well as placement and routing capabilities for physical layout.

Can front-load designs from Design Gateway to Design Force; a unified constraint browser has been added for both applications. Can now load design rules, including differential pair routing and routing width stacks, directly from design rule library into schematic using rule stack editor. Enhanced component browser enables component variants to be managed in schematic. Manual routing is supported by “auto complete and route” function. Can look for paths on different layers while automatically inserting vias. Bus routing function allows paths to be sketched for multiple nets to be routed over dense areas. Design-for-manufacturing (DFM) includes checks for non-conductor items. Design rule check ensures component reference designators are listed in the same order as parts.
