TAIPEI, TAIWAN – September is going to be a busy month as notebook makers are reporting fully booked capacity, says DigiTimes.

According to DigiTimes, Quanta Computer expects third-quarter shipments at 10 million, with sequential growth at nearly 26%. Compal Electronics forecasts a 14% increase with 9 million units shipped.

Inventec should see just over 6 million units shipped with 16% to 17% sequential growth, while Wistron is forecast for 13% growth and 7 million units shipped.

August shipments should also see increases, as some orders will need to be brought forward to lessen September’s production load.
