TOKYO – NEC Informatec Systems, Inc. introduces EMIStream v.4.0, the latest version of its EMI suppression tool. Providing design rule check and power plane resonance analysis, EMIStream decreases time and cost during the evaluation process. Users can run PIStream from the EMIStream interface, suppress EMI and improve power integrity in one package

Enhanced features include an EMI check error filtering function that allows the user to filter errors and focus on critical design problems. Errors are filtered according to a customized frequency range. The checked items and the advices can be exported as graphics in html format using the check report function.

Using plane resonance analysis, far field EMI is calculated by plane edge voltage. This allows the user to view far field horizontal/vertical frequency characteristics and azimuth patterns. In addition, trace length and phase differences are checked with the differential signal check.
