ATLANTA, GA – Electronic Component Trends and Sentiment report for November shows the industry’s outlook strengthening far ahead of expectations, with the overall sentiment index reaching 120.1 – well above the October forecast of 103.5. The figure represents the sixth straight month of improving sentiment across the electronic components supply chain, beginning in June.

Despite the stronger November reading, respondents anticipate a pullback in December, projecting an 18.8-point decline in the index. Longer-term expectations, however, remain strongly positive. According to ECIA chief analyst Dale Ford, more than half of survey participants expect overall sales growth in the fourth quarter, and over 70% project growth moving into the first quarter, signaling renewed optimism heading into the new year.
