PENANG, MALAYSIA – Penang-based semiconductor component manufacturer SQ Advanced Interconnect plans to list on the main market of Bursa Malaysia as it seeks to fund manufacturing expansion, research and development and workforce growth.
The company manufactures and assembles flexible printed circuits and integrated circuit substrates, providing services that include circuit design, prototype fabrication and production. SQ Advanced Interconnect operates two manufacturing facilities in Malaysia, located in Bayan Lepas and Batu Kawan, along with a plant in Xiamen, China.
The company reported profit of about $17 million in 2025, up from roughly $14.6 million in 2023, reflecting steady growth in demand for advanced interconnect technologies. SQ Advanced Interconnect serves approximately 380 customers across the electronics sector.
Proceeds from the planned public listing will be used to expand manufacturing capacity, support research and development initiatives, strengthen working capital and repay borrowings.
The company’s products support a range of electronic applications that rely on flexible circuits and advanced packaging technologies, which are increasingly used in compact and high-performance devices.
