BRUSSELS — The European Institute for the PCB Community has named Rico Schlüter of RS PCB Solutions as its new president, succeeding Alun Morgan of Ventec, who held the post since 2012.
The leadership changes follow the EIPC's annual general meeting held during Productronica in Munich in November. Schlüter, whose Belgium-based company specializes in PCB solutions, will serve a two-year term through 2027.
Emma Hudson of EHTC and Thomas Michels of Ilfa GmbH were elected vice presidents. Hudson will pull double duty, continuing as treasurer—a role she's held previously.
The EIPC board represents a cross-section of the European PCB ecosystem, with directors hailing from fabricators, material suppliers, equipment manufacturers, and consultancies across eight countries. The roster includes Chris Haley (Amphenol Invotec), Antti Ojala (Aspocomp), Samuel Bismuth (CCI Eurolam), Milena Magnani (Cistelaier), and Jon Custer (Custer Consulting).
Also serving: Hubert Zimmermann (Dyconex), Vincent Dronnet (Elvia Electronics), Stan Heltzel (ESA), Joachim Verhegge (Group ACB), Alexander Ippich (Isola), Martyn Gaudion (Polar Instruments), and Morgan, who remains on the board.
The geographic and sector diversity reflects the organization's pan-European mandate to advance PCB technology and manufacturing standards across the continent.
