WILSONVILLE, OR – Mentor Graphics reported fiscal third-quarter revenues ended Oct. 31 of $291 million, down 0.58% year-over-year.

The results were within company guidance results, said Dr. Walden Rhines, chairman and CEO.

Demand for EDA software for system design, particularly in the transportation industry, remains robust, the firm says. Also, embedded electronics in automotive and aerospace applications continues to show rapid growth.

During the quarter, Mentor acquired all remaining outstanding shares of its majority-owned subsidiary, Calypto Design Systems.

For the fiscal fourth quarter, the company expects revenues of about $336 million. For full fiscal year 2016, the company expects revenues of about $1.18 billion.
