ISLE, IL – Molex has acquired Soligie for an undisclosed sum.

Molex services include Soligie sensor design and process development, prototype fabrication, product development, commercialization and manufacturing.

Soligie’s products provide an alternative to rigid or copper flex printed circuit boards in sensor applications for medical, industrial, consumer, defense, and other industries. The firm’s designs start with a substrate onto which components are added using conductive silver ink to form the circuitry.

Molex manufacturing capabilities include electronic device bonding using roll-to-roll and sheet-to-sheet technology. A multi-station printing system can combine flexographic and rotary screen capability and the ability to print multiple layers. The R2R printing process for Soligie products creates equivalents of copper circuitry in sensor applications.
