LONDON -- Holders Technology swung to a first-half pretax loss despite an uptick in sales for the period.

The company reported a pretax loss of GBP169,000 for the period ended May 31, down from income of GBP39,000 a year ago.

Revenue was up slightly to GBP6.96 million ($11.82 million) from GBP6.94 million.

The company's Germany printed circuit board operations, its largest, saw market share rise, offset by lower revenue and margins at its UK-based business.
