RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA – Arlon Electronic Materials passed an audit and has qualified to the IPC-4101 Qualified Products Listing.

Arlon completed a two-day audit, in which its manufacturing practices, test methods and IPC-4101 conformance requirements were reviewed.

Arlon qualified its product 85N to slash sheets 40 and 41 of IPC-4101E, Specification for Base Materials for Rigid and Multilayer Printed Boards and qualified 38N to meet requirements of slash sheet 42.

Arlon met or exceeded IPC’s Validation Services QPL requirements for producing base materials used by PCB manufacturers supplying military electronics. The company is now listed as an IPC-4101E trusted source capable of manufacturing in accordance with industry best practices for IPC slash sheets 40, 41 and 42.

“IPC’s offering of validation services to the industry is an important first step to informing OEMs and fabricators which materials IPC has qualified,” said Brad Foster, Arlon’s president. “Because of Arlon’s longstanding history of supplying tried and proven products into military, avionic and space applications, we felt it was important for us to meet IPC’s QPL requirements for IPC-4101E on slash sheets 40, 41 and 42.  Arlon is the only laminator to date to gain IPC’s QPL recognition with all three polyimide slash sheets.”

Arlon produces and sells military-grade, copper-clad laminates, prepregs and packaging substrates.
